Absolutely Gorgeous! I can’t really take the credit for these beautiful natural gemstone statement necklaces. After all, it is the beauty of the natural stone that makes them so stunning. I simply enjoyed the process of bringing it all together; the pleasure of “the treasure hunt” in finding these gorgeous petrified wood (agate) pendants, then the quest to find the perfect matching gemstone beads, being in the moment as I wire wrap each bead and polish each beaded link. It is a joyous journey and one I find very meditative. Dare I say good vibes woven into each piece!

I did have a bit of a challenge photographing these beauties. They are so glossy that my photo lamps were reflecting off of their shiny surface. But, the photos taken in natural light don’t quite display their rich colors.

Decisions, decisions…….nothing like the arrival of some new gemstones to get the creative juices flowing!
These petrified wood agate pendants are absolutely gorgeous! So much so I went back and purchased a few more! Each one has its own individual characteristics and colors and is visually stunning. Of course, I then had to decide which beads to match them with, then layout the best bead sequence to best complement each pendant.
There are so many options that would work beautifully but after a bit of deliberation I decided on the combinations that best resonated with me at the time. I could actually come back another day and decide that a different combination might be just as good or better. Thus, my motto, every day is different and so is the jewelry I create.
So, I’ve wire wrapped my beads and pendants and they are almost complete. They’ve gone through their process to patina the wire. Now they’re just waiting for me to give the wire it’s final polishing and then these gorgeous, one-of-a-kind gemstone necklaces will be ready to become someone’s next eye-catching fashion statement.
I won’t call it the winter doldrums because I find the winter months to be beautiful and calming. A white blanketed landscape creating a pristine canvas, the jolt, awakening, renewal of a blast of cold air, the crispy feeling of cold on your cheeks, that scent of freshness that permeates the air, the silence of the gently falling snow. Everchanging and beautiful is each and every season of the year here in the Midwest USA.

But, beautiful and refreshing as I find winter to be, I also enjoy the coziness and comfort of being tucked inside my warm home. The slow down I find in the season of winter gives me the opportunity and time to be creative.

So, as I am enjoying these last few months of winter I’m also looking forward to Spring.
Do you ever stop to ponder where you are in life, how you got there, where you’ve been, where you are headed?
I’m an avid reader. And, as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, someday I’d like to write my own stories. “someday I’d like to” Do you see anything wrong with that statement?
A quote I read once upon a time that I often repeat to my sons went something like this: “four birds sat on a wire, one decided to fly away, how many were left on the wire?”
Just because I want to or would like to or think about doing anything doesn’t get it done. I dream, I think, I ponder. These are good starting points but where is the action that catapults these thoughts/dreams/wants/desires into reality.
Ponder, plan, and proceed.
I just finished reading “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. A great read in my opinion. It has given me a different perspective as I ponder where I’ve been, where I am, how I got here, and the direction in which I travel.

Follow your dreams! You may face fear, uncertainty, obstacles. It may take some hard work, stamina, motivation, encouragement, time, frustration, and patience. But with your drive, determination and effort, someday in your future as you ponder where you’ve been and how you got there you will find the joys in the journey of your life.

Put on some Reiki, Zen, Piano, (whatever resonates with you) music, maybe something to evoke your spirit which will help you find your purpose.
Fix yourself a cup of tea.
Light a candle or burn your sage smudge stick while your tea is heating.
Open a window to help release negative energy from your home.
Find a quite, beautiful place to sit and listen to the music while you sip your tea. Maybe on your porch or outdoors so any negative energy can dissipate and you can absorb the beauty of nature.
Clear your mind and breathe (takes practice).
After this do a few stretching exercises to show your body some appreciation.
Grab a paper and pen/pencil/paint marker; something pretty to write on and with, maybe even one of your color book pages you can jot down thoughts along the edges.
Without thinking about your current circumstances; where you live, what you do, what you’ve done, your age, your health; write down your dream life; the career that will make you happy, where you will live, where you will travel, who you will be with, people who make you happy (known or not yet met), how you will dress, items that make you happy, activities that make you happy, how you carry yourself. Everything you can think of you can do. This is where you’ll start.
It is never too late to reinvent yourself and become the person you’ve always dreamed of or get back to that person that you once were.
Change starts from within and your thoughts become your reality.
When/if any negative, destructive, or self doubt creeps into your mind, go back to your page and doodle, draw, color, write, read and remind yourself what a STRONG, CONFIDENT, BEAUTIFUL WOMAN/MAN YOU ARE!
I believe in you and can’t wait to see you blossom through this new challenge in your life.
Be invigorated, enthusiastic and excited as you rediscover yourself.
